Courtney A. Beamon and Christopher G. Lynn Receive
2006 ACC Board of Governors Chair Awards

Alexandria, VA – The Airport Consultants Council (ACC) 2006 ACC Board of Governors Chair Awards were presented to Courtney A. Beamon with Delta Airport Consultants, Inc., and Christopher G. Lynn with Blast Deflectors, Inc., by Board Chair Belinda Hargrove on Monday, November 13, 2006 during the annual ACC Membership Meeting.  The awards are presented annually to ACC members who have, in the opinion of the Board of Governors Chair, shown exceptional commitments to the ACC and have been of particular assistance during the Board Chair's tenure.

"During the past several years Courtney and Chris have been exceedingly generous with their time and support of ACC," says 2006 Board Chair Hargrove. "I extend my gratitude to them and am pleased to present them with this year's Board Chair Award." 

Courtney Beamon, P.E., marketing director of Delta Airport Consultants, Inc., has served on the ACC Board of Governors for two years and was recently re-elected  to serve another two years. She has served on the Summer Workshop Series Committee, where she initiated the ACC Best Practices Award, presented to FAA personnel.  She also served as Board Liaison to the Industry and Public Relations Committee, committing her own time to developing ACC's marketing plan and her firm's time in preparing weekly communications to ACC member firms. She is based in Richmond, Virginia.

Christopher G. Lynn, chief executive officer of Blast Deflectors, Inc., served on the Board of Governors from 1996-1998, the Strategic Planning Committee, the Awards Committee, and most recently as the 2006 Co-Chair of the Membership Committee. Lynn was honored for his long-standing support of ACC and continually expressing to the industry the value of ACC. Celebrating its 50th anniversary next year, Blast Deflectors, Inc. is located in Lynn's hometown of Reno, Nevada.

The Airport Consultants Council (ACC) is the international trade association that represents the unique interests of consultant firms and related businesses that provide airport development and operations expertise. Founded in 1978, ACC Headquarters is located in the Washington, DC area.
