Michael J. DeVoy Elected 2008 ACC Board of Governors

– The Airport Consultants Council (ACC) announced the election of
Michael J. DeVoy, P.E. as its 2008 Board of Governors
Chair. He was sworn in on November 13, 2007
at ceremonies held during the ACC 29th Annual Conference &
Exposition in Phoenix, Arizona.
 “It is a
tremendous honor to be elected as the 2008 ACC’s Board of
Governors Chair and I am particularly pleased because we will be
celebrating ACC's 30th anniversary next year.”
said DeVoy. “I intend to continue to lead ACC in such a way that
its members are provided with what is needed to meet the many challenges
that they and the aviation industry in general face today. Among my top
priorities will be to facilitate passage of the pending Federal Aviation
Administration reauthorization bill and to further enable ACC to be the
expert technical voice of airport development.”
DeVoy serves as the Director of Operations for RW
Armstrong's Airports Division. He was employed by RW Armstrong upon
graduating from Purdue University with Bachelor of
Science degrees in Civil Engineering and Land Surveying. During his 18
years with the firm, DeVoy has served as Project Manager, Project
Engineer, Resident Inspector, and Survey Crew Chief for airport, site
development, navigational aid and transportation projects. He is a
registered professional engineer in 11 states.
RW Armstrong is a
consulting firm specializing in program management, design/build,
engineering and architecture. Founded in
1961 and based in Indianapolis, Indiana, RW
Armstrong has over 300 employees in thirteen offices around the
globe.

Hochstetler. "He has a thorough knowledge of airport development and the
real challenges that must be overcome if our future system of airports
is going to accommodate the level of demand that is
anticipated."
