Living Desert Reserve "Animal Attraction"

Guests will discover nearly 45 fascinating desert animals representing over 152 species including coyotes, big horn sheep, oryx, giraffes, zebras, cheetahs and meerkats in the 1,200-acre facility. There are also lush botanical gardens representing 10 different desert ecosystems. A must-see is “Eagle Canyon” where there are mountains, streams, lions, bobcats, Mexican wolves and golden eagles. The Living Desert also offers hiking trails and Native American exhibits. The tour will include a behind-the scenes tour of the new Tennity Wildlife Hospital & Conservation Center where the Living Desert animal collection receives the highest quality of care.

The fee includes roundtrip transportation, sightseeing en route with full narration, admission to Living Desert Reserve, private Docent walking tour (approximately 1.5 hours), admission to the butterfly & hummingbird exhibit, free time to explore the park and animals on your own, all applicable gratuities.

Palm Springs Aerial Tram "A Natural High"

The Palm Springs Aerial Tram on Mt. Jacinto is a true adventure. The rotating cable cars are the most advanced in the world and guide passengers 2 ½ miles up the mountainside to a height of 8, 516 feet. Once at the top, the Mount San Jacinto State Park and Wilderness offers 54 miles of hiking trails, which should be sufficient to satisfy the appetite of most avid outdoor enthusiast.

The fee includes roundtrip transportation, sightseeing en route with full narration, admission to Palm Springs Aerial Tram, Free time at the top to explore hiking and walking trails, 20-minute film on the construction of the tram, all applicable gratuities.

San Andreas Fault Jeep Tour  "Discover the Desert"

See the beauty of a natural palm oasis, narrow, steep-walled canyons and pools filled with water bubbling up from the San Andreas Fault. Learn how the Indians lived, hunted and used desert plants for food, clothing, construction, implements, weapons and medicine. Marvel at the contrast of a lush natural palm oasis and narrow dry-wash canyons carved by water and wind. Experience the real desert and explore the San Andreas Fault’s unique geologic features, often referred to as the most tortured landscape on Earth.

The fee includes Jeep pick up at resort, exclusive 3-hour tour of Metate Canyon & San Andreas Fault, private naturalist guide for each jeep, admission and land fees, refreshments and snacks available during excursion, all applicable gratuities.


Tours will take place regardless of weather conditions. ACC reserves the right to cancel a tour when the minimum number of participants is not met. Should this occur, full refunds will be distributed after November 17.
