Contracts play a crucial role in any project. With indemnification, waiver of subrogation, arbitration and hidden liabilities, contracts are on of the most risky activities on a project. Consultants do not often realize the implications to those agreed upon contract provisions until there is a claim. This interactive course will review the most problematic contract terms, how to identify them and how to negotiate with your consultants or owners. We will explore the claims environment for airport claims including current trends in losses. A risk management course would not be complete without a quick discussion of how insurance plays into acceptable contract terms. 

Speed Networking Event 

One of the core aspects of ACC membership emphasizes the opportunities to meet and network with potential partners. The ACC 39th Annual Conference & Exposition will be held at the Rancho Bernardo Inn (17550 Bernardo Oaks Dr., San Diego, CA 92128).  Individual hotel reservations may be booked through the passkey reservation link.  Hotel reservations must be booked no later than Tuesday, October 10, 2017 to receive the special rate of $219.00 single/double per night.  Reservations made after Tuesday, October 10, 2017 are subject to availability and the prevailing hotel nightly rate. 

The online reservation system will only accept reservations that are within the contracted conference dates.  Any guests requesting to extend their stay must call the Rancho Bernardo Inn reservations team at 1-800-542-6096, available Monday-Friday from 7 am to 9 pm and Saturday-Sunday from 7 am to 7 pm, and reference the 2017 ACC Annual Conference & Exposition.

PLEASE NOTE: There are several companies (Event Travel Planners, National Travel Association, Global Housing, Exhibition Housing Services, etc.) who may contact ACC conference attendees and exhibitors claiming that they are calling on behalf of ACC and are the official housing company for the conference.  Be aware that the only way to make reservations within the ACC Annual Conference & Exposition block, and to receive the discounted room rate at the Rancho Bernardo Inn, is to make your reservation directly with the hotel through their website or by calling them directly. ACC does NOT contract with third parties to assist members with hotel reservations.  Please do not provide your credit card information to anyone, except the employees of the Rancho Bernardo Inn, when making a reservation.  The Rancho Bernardo Inn is not sold out for this event.  Hotel reservations made with unauthorized third party companies are not valid reservations.  In the event that you may book a room through any such organization, ACC will not be able to assist you if rooms are unavailable upon your arrival at the hotel, or if you are billed at the incorrect nightly rate.  Please contact Colleen Flood at (703) 683-5900 or email if you have any further questions or concerns.
